Staff Alexey A. Bogdanov
Professor of Chemistry faculty of MSU, academician of RAS (section Physico-Chemical Biology). Member of academic senate of the Institute, member of academic senate of MSU Chemistry faculty, member of MSU academic senate. Member of European academy, Foreigh member of Lituanian AS, Honorary member of Senate of International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (Poland). Member and chairman of the set of expert senates of RFBR, deputy editor-in-chief of Biochemistry (Moscow).

Laureate of State award in science (USSR), of 1st rank Lomonosov award (MSU), of M.M. Shemyakin Prize (RAS), of Fullbright prize (USA), of Alexander von Humboldt Prize (Germany), Doctor honoris causa (MSU).

Scientific interests lay in biochemistry of nucleic acid-protein complexes. In 1960s he found out the existence of natural DNA and RNA covalent bindings with proteins that forms the novel branch in biochemistry. At the present time he proceeds research work in collaboration with Department of structure and function of RNA and Department of protein chemistry.
