  • Computing Group

    The computing group supports the computer networks of the Institute and the Faculty of Bioengineering and Bioinformatics of Moscow State University, develops bioinformatics services, and performs computational research.

    Maintenance of the public spectroscopy equipment.

  • Animal Cell Culture Laboratory

    Chief: Senior Researcher, PhD Ilya M. Terenin

    Core facility on cell culture techniques and storage of cell culture bank. Providing the equipment and service to promote cell culture researches of all departments and training for students of Faculty of Bioengineering and Bioinformatics on methods of research using human and animal cell cultures.

    Microbial cells cultivation and maintenance of the autoclaving room.

    The department provides the isotopic analysis in biochemistry and molecular biology.

    Development and implementation of the Institute’s automatic information system. Information support of scientific research developed at the institute. Preparation of the results of the work of researchers for publication. Digitization of paper versions of Russian scientific journals. Scientometric studies of information flows of various areas of science. Citation analysis of the work of the Institute staff. Development and support of the Institute website.

  • Department of Physical Methods of Research

    Leader: Dept. Head, PhD Victor N. Orlov

    The department is dedicated to technical and methodological work on physical and physicochemical methods of investigation of biomacromolecules (calorimetry, centrifugation, etc).

  • Department of Chromatographical Analysis

    Leader: Dept. Head, DSc Lyudmila A. Baratova

    Providing the chromatography analysis and the analysis of composition and structure of biopolymers. The department also carries out its own research.

  • Department of Electron Microscopy

    Leader: Dept. Head, DSc Igor I. Kireev

    Managing electronic and optical microscopes, instruments for probe preparation, consultation and technical support of microscopy research. The research interests of the department are: the structural organization of the eukaryotic genetic apparatus in normal and pathological states, the role of high-level genome organization as a factor of epigenetic regulation, the mechanisms of cell mobility and the role of the centrosome in cytoskeleton organization.
